Josip Šurlin was born on July 16, 1993 in Split, Croatia. 

 

In 2012 he graduated at the School of Fine Arts in Split.

 

In 2012 he enrolls at the Arts Academy in Split at the department of painting.

 

In 2015 he earned his bachelor's degree in painting in the class of professor Gorki Žuvela.

 

In 2017 he finished his master's degree in painting in the class of professor Viktor Popović and professor Neli Ružić.

 

From 2014 to 2020 he participated at several group exhibitions and presented his works in more than ten solo exhibitions.

 

In 2018 he became a member of the Croatian Fine Artists Association of Split (HULU, Split).

Since 2020 he is working as an assistant at the Academy of Fine Arts in Split, the department of painting.
